Thank you runners, volunteers and sponsors!

I wanted to thank everyone who participated in the first annual Every Stride 5K/10K event. From the over 700 runners to the 80 volunteers and race committee members to the dozens of sponsors to help make this event happen.

As a first time race director I could never imagine how much work would need to be done and how many people it would take to put on an event like this and for a first time race I hope everyone was pleased. We have a lot of things to tweak and will do that with your help and feedback. But, as a runner I know that the running community is large and we always work together to help others. So, let's make it a goal to make a great race next year and keep inviting others to join the running community.

Thank you again!

It was very well done. Its nice to go to a first annual and have a good amount of runners! The course could use a little work.

1. Straiten out the start so you do have to turn within the first 50m.

2. It would be also nice not have to run on the roads (5k). I love that it was mostly on grass. Little easier on the legs.

3. The sharp turns are a real momentum killer, if they could be made a little bit wider to make it a little easier.

I am a walker, sometimes I jog(slow) to boost up my time!! I had a great time @ the all stride!! I plan on joining in on it again next year!!

Being a walker it wasn't clear if we were suppose to start with the 5k runners. Perhaps we could start 5 minutes later? Or perhaps 10 minutes earlier, since we're not as fast.

perhaps walkers could have a race, too?

Next year make sure each individuals time starts when they cross the start line. Races are supposed to have a chip timer at the beginning AND end of the race: our times are completely inaccurate. Also, seperate runners from walkers and there was water at the begining of the race, but none at the end. Time your drinking stations better next year. The golf course was a great place to run overall.

One suggestion I have is to have a map of the course next year. I knew that there would be hills throughout the course, but was totally unprepared for terrain...some of those hills were steep, which I did not train for.
Overall the race was great. It was my first 10k, first race period, and I had a great time. Everyone was really nice, and I loved that there were volunteers to cheer us on. Thanks for an awesome race, and I plan to run it again next year...but next year I'll be ready for the hills and slippery leaves!
